7 years agoNew York Jets impending free-agent veteran quarterback Josh McCown would like a chance to re-sign with the team and come back in 2018 after impressing in 2017. He completed over 67 percent of his passes while throwing 18 touchdowns in 13 starts for Gang Green. McCown said his "body feels great" and that he is healed from the broken hand he suffered late in the year. The Jets will likely only turn to the 38-year-old McCown if they can't lure in Washington Redskins impending free-agent quarterback Kirk Cousins with big money. “Hopefully we can continue working together,” McCown said. “We’ll see how the rest of that plays out in the coming weeks.” The Jets also have the sixth overall pick in the draft, so they could choose to take a QB there as well. McCown could serve as a bridge QB once again for the rebuilding Jets, but they'd rather not, and he probably showed his ceiling last year at this stage in his career.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
