Josh Naylor Sitting Against Lefty
2 years agoCleveland Guardians first baseman/outfielder Josh Naylor is not in the starting lineup on Tuesday against Kansas City Royals left-hander Daniel Lynch. Outfielder Steven Kwan will also take a seat for Cleveland. Naylor has been great for fantasy managers so far this year, slashing .287/.342/.515 with an .857 OPS, six home runs, 25 RBI and 13 runs scored in 111 plate appearances over 28 games, but he's hitting just .222 with one homer and three RBI against lefties and .130 (3-for-23) in the last seven days. It's a good time for a day of rest for Naylor. Owen Miller is at first base and is batting cleanup on Tuesday, while third baseman Jose Ramirez serves as the designated hitter against KC. Miller has been decent against left-handers this year, hitting .278 (10-for-36) with two homers and six RBI against them.
