Josh Palmer Snags A Touchdown In Week 2 Of Preseason
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Josh Palmer caught one pass for three yards and a touchdown in Sunday's preseason game versus the San Francisco 49ers. Palmer put the Chargers on the board with his touchdown grab in the second quarter, but it was otherwise a quiet night. The former Tennessee Volunteer has been drawn the attention of the Chargers during training camp and has been competing with Jalen Guyton and Tyron Johnson for the No. 3 spot behind Kennan Allen and Mike Williams. The Chargers spent a third-round pick on Palmer in this year's draft and he has now caught seven of his eight targets in the preseason for 39 yards and a touchdown. The rookie's situation is worth keeping an eye on and he could have sleeper appeal towards the end of upcoming drafts with the Chargers looking like they will have one of the higher scoring offenses this upcoming season.
