3 years agoFree-agent quarterback Josh Rosen is signing with the Atlanta Falcons, per ESPN's Jordan Schultz. The 24-year-old hasn't started an NFL game since 2019 and was recently cut from 49ers camp, but drew the interest of the Falcons, who recently lost backup signal-caller, A.J. McCarron, for the season to a torn ACL. A former top-10 draft choice, Rosen hasn't panned out at the NFL level yet, though he'll now have a chance to compete for the backup role behind Matt Ryan against rookie Feleipe Franks, who has struggled a bit as a passer but flashed athletic ability with his legs. Rosen won't enter the fantasy conversation unless he wins the backup role and an injury occurs to Ryan, who has proven to be very durable in his career.--Tim Capurso
