4 years agoAtlanta Braves pitcher Josh Tomlin threw 4 1/3 innings of much-needed relief during the club's 12-2 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday. The veteran reliever came into the game in the first inning when veteran hurler Charlie Morton was unable to secure the third out. Tomlin allowed five hits and a walk but he struck out five batters and kept the ball in the park. The 36-year-old right-hander is now in his 12th season and is primarily a mop-up arm for the Braves. So far this season, he's allowed 26 hits but just four walks and one homer in 19 1/3 innings. He's not a useful fantasy contributor in his current role.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
