5 years agoCincinnati Reds utility man Josh VanMeter stayed hot in a 3-1 win over the Colorado Rockies on Saturday. VanMeter went 2-for-3 with a solo homer in the victory. The rookie has been a pleasant surprise for the Reds this season, batting .313 with four homers, nine runs, 10 RBI, and one steal in 67 at-bats. VanMeter was mostly considered a fringe prospect in his time in the minor leagues but his hot hitting and ability to play multiple positions have forced him into the starting lineup on most days. He is worth a look in deeper, National League-only leagues.--Matt T - RotoBaller
