Joshua Palmer Works With First Team
2 years agoLos Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer was on the field with Keenan Allen and Mike Williams and the first-team offense during mandatory minicamp practice this week. Tight end Gerald Everett was also working with the starters. Palmer, who was a third-round pick out of Tennessee last year, caught 33 passes for 353 yards and four touchdowns on 49 targets in his rookie season in 17 games (five starts) while splitting No. 3 receiver duties with Jalen Guyton. Guyton is still around and will compete for snaps and targets, but the 23-year-old Palmer could be looking at a bigger role as the Chargers' No. 3 pass-catcher this year, which could make him a boom/bust WR4/5 in deeper fantasy formats.
