3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher JT Brubaker was reinstated from the COVID-injured list on Friday according to the team. In a corresponding move, infielder Will Craig was designated for assignment. After a hot start to the 2021 season in April, Brubaker struggled in May posting a 4.82 ERA, and a 1.36 WHIP over 28 innings pitched which included two particularly rough outings against the Braves and Cardinals. Overall, Brubaker has posted a solid 3.74 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP, and 56 strikeouts in 55 1/3 IP making him a viable deep rotation option in NL-only and deep mixed league formats. Brubaker will likely make his next start during the Pirates series against the Dodgers which begins on Tuesday.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
