4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher JT Brubaker struck out seven batters in five innings of work, but did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 4-2 loss. It was his second straight start with seven strikeouts, as he now has a streak of five straight appearances in which he has pitched five or more innings while allowing three or fewer runs. With a 2.78 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 32 1/3 innings of work, Brubaker has emerged as a bright spot in the Pirates' rotation this season.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
