3 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto went 2-for-3 with a double, home run, and two walks against the Pirates on Saturday. His solo shot was hit on a rope, snuck through a stairwell and right field, and found its way into the Allegheny River. The 23-year-old is now 4-for-6 with four walks and zero strikeouts over the last two games. Since the season began, he has slashed .314/.467/.600 with a 97th-percentile walk rate (22.2 percent) and 89th-percentile strikeout rate (11.1 percent). He also ranks among some of the league's best in metrics like xSLG, xwOBA, xBA, and exit velocity.
