Juan Soto Makes First Start Monday
6 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto has been penciled into the big league lineup for the first time in his career on Monday. Soto, 19, will be playing left field and batting sixth for the Nationals against the San Diego Padres. The Padres are starting left-hander Robbie Erlin on Monday. The Nationals have said that ordinarily that Soto, who bats left-handed, will sit against tough lefties. Apparently, Erlin doesn't qualify. Soto has hit lefties well this season in the minors, so don't be too concerned about handedness matchups with him in the big leagues this season.
