Juan Soto Scratched With Back Tightness

2 years agoSan Diego Padres star outfielder Juan Soto (back) was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against the Cleveland Guardians due to left mid-back tightness. He was initially in the lineup for Tuesday's contest but was a late scratch due to back tightness. The 23-year-old is considered day-to-day. His next chance to return will be Wednesday for the series finale against the Guardians. Wil Myers replaced Soto in the lineup and will start in right field for Tuesday's contest. The 31-year-old is slashing .248/.298/.321 with one home run, 24 RBI, and 15 runs over 181 plate appearances in 2022.
