6 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with back spasms. Soto missed three straight games from Wednesday to Friday before the team finally placed him on the IL. It will hopefully be a minimum stay for Soto, but backs can be touchy things. Andrew Stevenson was recalled to take Soto's place on the roster. The injury will open up playing time for outfielder Michael A. Taylor, but Taylor is a poor hitter who wouldn't contribute much to a fantasy team besides the occasional steal. Soto was hitting .248/.368/.467 with six home runs and his production will be missed both by the Nationals, now down several hitters, and fantasy managers.--Nathaniel Green
