Juan Soto Working on Defense
6 years agoJamal Collier of MLB.com wrote about Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto, saying "even if the advanced metrics did not grade Soto's defense favorably, the Nationals were happy with the strides he made last season." Third-base coach Bob Henley said that Soto "doesn’t want to be a one-dimensional guy, he wants to be a great baseball player." Soto's defense was in little danger of costing him playing time and won't provide any extra fantasy value, but it's good to know the 20-year-old is devoted to improvement in all aspects, even after his phenomenal success last year. Soto is being drafted like a first or second fantasy outfielder, and is an even better asset in keeper and dynasty leagues.
