Julio Jones Back To His Old Self?
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said that wide receiver Julio Jones was out of shape when he first reported to the team in training camp, but Bowles said that the veteran pass-catcher has "kind of gotten to the point where he's returned to his old self." Jones is leading both in the locker room and on the field and could be Tampa's No. 2 receiver to open Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night if Chris Godwin (knee) is unable to suit up. The Bucs also have Russell Gage in the fold, and he'll command targets as well, but if he's fully healthy, Jones could surprise some folks as a WR4/flex in deeper leagues to kick off the season. The game against Dallas figures to be high-scoring as well, so the 33-year-old could have a big game to kick things off.
