Julio Urias Starts Throwing Again

6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias (shoulder) posted a video of himself on his Instagram account that shows him throwing for the first time in seven months. The 21-year-old had surgery on his left anterior shoulder capsule last June, which ended his 2017 season. Despite calling the video the "the happiest day of his therapy," he still has a long way to go before returning to the majors. Even then, there's no telling which version of Urias will return. In 2017, he was awful in five starts, striking out 11 batters but walking 14 and giving up 14 earned runs. His upside was more clearly on display in 2016, when he punched out 84 batters in 77 innings. The video is a step towards regaining any fantasy value for Urias, so owners in dynasty leagues should hang tight.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
