7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias has had mixed results in the minors while recovering from left shoulder surgery last year. His most recent outing last Friday was cut short after just three hitters due to his pitch count. The optimism of Urias helping out the Dodgers bullpen to close out the year is fading. "I don't know when he's going to pitch again," said manager Dave Roberts. "I know [the last outing] didn't go well as far as results. I haven't asked about it. We said from the beginning that when he's right physically and performance-wise, then he'll come. If either of those things doesn't happen, then it doesn't make sense for us or him." Urias still has a lot of upside in the long term, but he can be ignored in single-season leagues the rest of the way.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
