Junior Guerra Gets Roughed Up In Second Consecutive Start
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Junior Guerra went five innings giving up six hits, four earned runs, and two walks while striking out nine in the 6-2 loss to the Cleveland Indians. After starting the year with a 0.82 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in his first four starts, he's now up to a 3.09 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP with his last two starts not going too well. The only thing salvageable about his start was that he struck out nine batters, which is a season-high for Guerra so far. With Wade Miley recently going down with an injury, Guerra holds no threat to losing his starting position at the current moment, however, should be dropped from shallower leagues he is owned in.
