Junior Guerra Only Allows One Hit In 5 2/3 Innings
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Junior Guerra went 5 2/3 innings pitched on Tuesday, giving up one hit and three walks while striking out seven in the 2-0 victory over the Cincinnati Reds. It looks like the Brewers have officially solved their issue with their fifth starter. In two starts now for Guerra since being called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs, Guerra has only given up one run in two starts for a total of 11 innings pitched. He also has as many strikeouts as innings pitched so far this year. Considering Guerra pitched to a 9-3 record with a 2.81 ERA only two years ago, he may be worth a consideration in deeper leagues right now and is definitely a solid streaming candidate in his next start. He now brings his season ERA down to an amazing 0.82.
