5 years agoOakland Athletics second baseman Jurickson Profar will start and hit sixth against the Rays and right-handed starter Charlie Morton. Profar has plenty of talent but, once again, provided middling fantasy results this season. But the versatile player has a couple of things trending in his direction for this crucial AL Wild Card play-in game. Profar finished the final week of the season strong, going 7-for-16 over his final seven games. He also has had past success against the Rays projected starter Charlie Morton. It is a small sample size but Profar is 4-for-11 lifetime against Morton with one double and one home run.
