Jurickson Profar Swats Rare Home Run
3 years agoSan Diego Padres utilityman Jurickson Profar drew a walk and crushed a two-run home run in two at-bats Tuesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Entering to play first base as part of a double switch, Profar's long ball was one of three hits for the Friars in the feeble 5-2 loss. Along with a recent IL stint, the 28-year-old has seen his playing time dwindle as he sports a modest .243/.348/.338 slash with three homers, 10 steals and 64 runs-plus-RBI in 321 plate appearances. Despite his elite plate discipline, Profar's weak batted-ball outcomes render him a desperation play in only the deepest best ball and OBP formats.
