Justin Dunn Leaves The Door Open In Last Spring Start
4 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Justin Dunn has been locked in a battle for the sixth rotation spot all spring, and his latest outing left room for Nick Margevicius to potentially take the role. Dunn threw 3 1/3 innings against the Chicago Cubs Wednesday, and while he struck out seven batters, he also walked three. All told, Dunn gave up four earned runs. Dunn now has a 5.73 spring ERA with 15 strikeouts in 11 innings. The bad news is he's also allowed a worrisome nine walks. Dunn still remains the favorite to start the year in the rotation, perhaps only because he is right-handed. For fantasy managers, Dunn is best left on the waiver wire.
