6 years agoCarolina Hurricanes defenseman Justin Faulk scored a goal with an assist and a plus-5 rating in Friday's 5-2 victory against the Vegas Golden Knights. He also added two blocked shots with a hit over 21:30 of ice time across 26 shifts. Faulk became the franchise's (Hartford/Carolina) leader in career points by a defenseman (241), passing Dave Babych. The rearguard from Minnesota has stepped up his play lately and is a big reason the Hurricanes are 9-3-1 over the past 13 games to hang around in the Eastern Conference playoff picture.--Daniel Dobish
