Justin Fields First-Team Snaps To Increase
3 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields will see more snaps this week with the first-team offense heading into the team's second preseason game against the Bills. Head coach Matt Nagy characterized the increase as part of "the evaluation process" as the rookie passer will get a chance to build more chemistry with veteran receivers like Allen Robinson II and Marquise Goodwin. Fields overcame a bumpy start in his first preseason game to complete 14-of-20 passes for 142 passing yards, 33 rushing yards with two total touchdowns (one passing, one rushing). As of now, veteran quarterback Andy Dalton still is the QB1 for the Bears.
