Justin Fields Looking Good
3 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields ended voluntary minicamp with a poor showing in seven-on-seven drills, but he has been praised by players and coaches during organized team activities this week. "He is ahead of pace," quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko said. "I think he has really gone to work mentally in the classroom, away from the classroom, what he is doing with his iPad at night, how he studies, how he is ready and prepared the next day, how he comes and approaches every day." Fields' development will be interesting to watch as he learns a new offense under first-time offensive coordinator Luke Getsy. Fields has intriguing dual-threat skills at QB, but even though the Bears added receiver Velus Jones Jr. in the draft, it remains to be seen if Fields can take a big step forward in his second year with a lackluster group of weapons around him.
