3 years agoChicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy told reporters on Thursday that rookie quarterback Justin Fields will play "past halftime" Saturday against the Dolphins. The team is in Miami participating in joint practices with the Dolphins before both teams kick off their preseason schedule on Saturday. Nagy said that Fields could even play into the fourth quarter, maintaining the coaching staff's stance that they want the rookie passer to play as many in-game snaps as possible. Fields has endured a typical rookie training camp; mixing bumpy moments with flashes of elite playmaking. Fields is not expected to be named starter out of the gate so this will be an excellent chance for Bears fans and dynasty managers to get a strong look at the talented passer.--Joey C - RotoBaller
