Justin Herbert Expected To Run More Of The Offense
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is expected to be more involved in running the offense this season. With head coach Brandon Staley back at the helm, Herbert hasn't spent time learning a new system, unlike in the past. Instead, the 2020 Rookie of the Year devoted much of the offseason to his footwork, throwing mechanics, and conditioning, with the signal-caller reportedly weighing 245 pounds. The 24-year-old has been spectacular throughout his two seasons in the league, compiling 9,350 yards, 69 touchdowns, and 25 interceptions while completing 66.2% of his throws. He's expected to remain just as productive on the fantasy end this year, especially since he'll have more freedom to change plays on the fly. The Chargers also have one of the easier schedules heading into 2022-23 campaign, giving Herbert a chance to finish as the top fantasy quarterback.
