Justin Herbert Shines In Week 2 Loss, Sustains Injury Late
2 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert was excellent for fantasy yet again in Thursday night's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, completing 33 of 48 pass attempts for 334 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. The interception was a costly one as it was thrown at the Chiefs' three yard line and returned for a touchdown that gave Kansas City the lead in the fourth quarter. Herbert also took a few hits late in the game, suffering an apparent rib injury that even forced him to miss a play. Luckily, Herbert came back in and, despite being visibly in pain, led the Chargers on an impressive drive that resulted in a touchdown pass to Joshua Palmer. Herbert is expected to have x-rays completed immediately and fantasy managers should closely monitor his status for Week 3. Obviously, if healthy, he will continue to be a must-start fantasy option every week.
