Justin Herbert Will Look To Build Off Week 4 Success
4 years agoLos Angeles Chargers rookie quarterback Justin Herbert is coming off of his best performance of his young career in Week 4 but will face a tough Saints Defense in Week 5. The Saints defense overall has allowed the sixth-fewest number of yards per game and are only allowing 236.8 passing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks. The Saints have been successful in holding Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford to under 283 yards passing, however, they have allowed three touchdowns to quarterbacks over the past three games with just one interception. The Chargers will also be without offensive threat Austin Ekeler (hamstring) and will rely on a backfield of rookie running back Joshua Kelley and running back Justin Jackson to help ease the load of Herbert. Herbert performed well against a very good Tampa Bay Buccaneers Defense in Week 4 and should be considered a QB2 with upside against the Saints on Monday.
