Justin Jackson Logs Nine Carries In Week 14
3 years agoWith starting running back Austin Ekeler (ankle) exiting Week 14 early, veteran running back Justin Jackson finished the afternoon with nine carries for 35 yards. He also caught his only target for seven yards. In addition to Jackson to seeing an uptick in playing time, Joshua Kelley saw one more rushing attempt than the veteran. The Chargers have a quick turnaround for their Week 15 contest against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday and that could lead to the Chargers resting Ekeler. If Ekeler were to miss Week 15, Jackson and Kelley would likely split snaps with Jackson being more valuable in ppr leagues. Ekeler managers should consider insuring him with both Kelley and Jackson and circle back for updates before Thursday's game.
