Justin Jackson Performs Well On Monday Night
4 years agoOn Monday against the New Orleans Saints with Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler (hamstring) sidelined, it was expected that rookie running back Joshua Kelley would be the main beneficiary, with Justin Jackson also getting in the mix. Jackson rushed 15 times compared to 11 for Kelley and looked like the better running back in this contest. Jackson broke out for a 36-yard run in the first quarter and finished with 71 yards. He also caught five passes on six targets for 23 yards. The Chargers would like to split carries with Jackson and Kelley, but Jackson performed well enough on Monday that he could command more touches after the team's Week 6 bye. Jackson is worth consideration as a flex option in all formats for Week 7 against the Jaguars.
