6 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Justin Smoak has rebounded as of late after a slow start to the season, but he’s not quite all the way back yet. In a 3-1 loss to the Oakland Athletics on Friday, Smoak finished 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and a walk. The good news is that Smoak had hit in each of the five games prior, including three doubles and two home runs over that span. It may have taken some time, but Smoak seems to be coming out of his funk. Keep your fingers crossed that Friday was just a bump in the road and that Smoak continues to emerge moving forward.--John Smith
