3 years agoLos Angeles outfielder Justin Upton (back) could return to the lineup as soon as Sunday, per manager Joe Maddon. The 33-year-old is eligible to come off the 10-day injured list on Saturday. He has been dealing with a lower back strain since June 22. Upton slashed .247/.336/.480 with 14 homers, 32 RBI, and 40 runs scored over 60 games before landing on the IL. Phil Gosselin will continue to handle left-field duties while Upton is sidelined. Gosselin slashed .419/.471/.613 with two homers and six RBI across 31 plate appearances and can be used as a streamer while he's swinging a hot bat.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
