5 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Justin Upton continues to struggle mightily heading into Friday night's action against the Mariners. Upton has hit 25 or more home runs in a season eight times, has been paid millions of dollars, but it is fair to begin to feel sorry for the veteran slugger. Upton is 7-for-71 (.099) to begin the season and has only two hits over his last 44 at-bats. Three of his seven hits on the season have left the yard but is striking out 39% of the time. Upton is in no way fantasy viable but it may be fair to question how much longer manager Joe Maddon will continue to put Upton in the lineup.--Joey C - RotoBaller
