Justin Upton Hitting .326 From Leadoff Spot
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Justin Upton is expected to continue to hit leadoff for the Angels heading into their Tuesday matchup against the Royals. The veteran slugger has made from an unexpected leadoff man but has produced from that spot. Through 12 games hitting from the top spot, Upton is slashing .326/.396/.696 with nine extra-base hits. Even more impressive, Upton is hitting .333 in the first inning of games to jump-start an inconsistent Angels offense. After slugging .388 in the month of May, the 33-year-old is slashing .368/.520/1.053 with seven extra-base hits over his last six games. Whether this can help standard fantasy rosters long-term is worth a healthy amount of skepticism but Upton certainly can help DFS lineups now.
