Justin Upton Nearly Ready To Take BP
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Justin Upton (toe) is expected to start taking live batting practice during the team's current homestand, according to manager Brad Ausmus. The skipper said the veteran outfielder will also go out on minor-league rehab assignment, too. Upton hasn't played at all during the regular season yet, as he was slow to recover from a knee injury during spring training, and then he suffered a turf toe injury during the Freeway Series in spring right before the opener. The brittle veteran outfielder can be a boon to fantasy owners for his power numbers when healthy, it's still just uncertain when that will be and how long he can stay healthy.
