6 years agoHouston Astros starter Justin Verlander punched out 13 Indians hitters en route to seven shutout innings in the Astros 3-2 win on Tuesday. Verlander allowed only two hits in another vintage performance and now has surrendered only four hits over his last 13 innings. The veteran has struck out 24 batters during that span and finishes the month of July 4-1 with a 2.25 ERA spanning five starts. Verlander is currently the odds-on favorite to win the AL Cy Young Award and will be a must-play the next time he takes the mound.--Joey C - RotoBaller
