6 years agoHouston Astros starter Justin Verlander will go for his 10th win of the season Monday night against the Blue Jays. Verlander currently ranks first in all of baseball in WHIP (0.78) , ERA (1.60) and has allowed only 62 hits in 107 innings pitched. His 10.9 strikeouts per nine innings currently ranks as the second highest total of his career and his 1.8 walks per nine this season would be the lowest since breaking into the big leagues in 2005. Right-handed hitters are being held to a .187 batting average against the filthy Verlander and left-handed hitters are slashing a measly .137/.212/.244. Verlander will be a top-play in daily fantasy for Monday and must be active in all other formats.--Joey C - RotoBaller
