4 years agoHouston Astros starter Justin Verlander (forearm) threw close to 75 pitches during a simulated game on Wednesday morning. According to manager Dusty Baker, Verlander looked good throughout the session. The veteran right-hander seems close to a return, and as long as he does not feel any discomfort tomorrow, he may be back by the weekend. Verlander is hoping to make a couple of starts down the stretch to get warmed up for the postseason, so pick him up in all formats if he was prematurely dropped.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
