4 years agoHouston Astros right-handed pitcher Justin Verlander is slated to face hitters Wednesday at Minute Maid Park, the latest step in his rehab. Verlander has been ramping up for a return in 2020 after sustaining a forearm strain during his Opening Day start. Time is running thin on the Astros’ ace returning to the mound during the regular season, but he’s a name to keep an eye come the postseason if Houston qualifies, as he remains among the game’s elite when healthy.
