3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Justin Wilson was charged with the loss and a blown save in Friday's defeat at the hands of the Detroit Tigers. Manager Aaron Boone turned to Wilson after Aroldis Chapman worked the ninth inning, though the lefty fell just one strike short of the save. The 33-year-old induced two quick outs before serving up a two-run, game-winning homer to Robbie Grossman. Wilson owns a shaky 6.08 ERA, and while his expected ERA suggests he should be slightly better, he's still one to avoid, as he's striking out batters at a career-low rate this season.--Tim Capurso
