5 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Justus Sheffield has been recalled from Double-A Arkansas and will get the start against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday. While Sheffield has an underwhelming 4.13 ERA and 1.35 WHIP through 133 innings between Double-A and Triple-A this season, he has absolutely dominated since being sent back to Double-A, pitching to the tune of a 2.19 ERA over 78 innings. Sheffield is somewhat of a risky option at the moment, but he has all the tools to be a valuable fantasy starter if he can put it all together. Those who play in deeper mixed leagues and AL-only leagues may want to give him a shot.--Joseph Magazzinich
