Juwan Johnson Rising On Tight End Depth Chart?
2 years agoNew Orleans Saints tight end Juwan Johnson is pulling ahead of the team's other tight ends after the Week 1 win over the Atlanta Falcons, according to NewOrleans.Football's Nick Underhill. Johnson ran a route on 80 percent of the team's pass attempts in the season opener and finished the day with two catches for 43 yards on his five targets. He was also in the game late as the Saints came back over fellow tight ends Nick Vannett and Adam Trautman. Taysom Hill, who was used more like a traditional running back (four carries and one target), only played 16 of the team's 61 snaps, while Johnson played 45 snaps in Week 1. Johnson's involvement is worth keeping an eye on moving forward, but he can be left to the waiver wire in most leagues for the time being.
