4 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Ka'ai Tom made the team's Opening Day roster, according to MLB.com. Tom was a Rule 5 pick last December after spending five years in the Cleveland farm system; his first appearance this season will be his MLB debut. The 26-year-old will serve as the fourth-outfielder behind Mark Canha, Ramon Laureano, and Stephen Piscotty. While being the fourth outfielder leaves Tom on the outside looking in when it comes to fantasy, keep an eye on him this season. Tom had as good a spring as anyone in A's camp as he slashed .310/.412/.552 with four extra-base hits and four walks against eight strikeouts.
