6 years agoLos Angeles Angels infielder Kaleb Cowart was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake to make room for Garrett Richards, who is starting on Wednesday. Cowart has been up and down quite a bit this season and is 1-for-8 with a double and two runs scored at the big league level. He hit .225 with four stolen bases in 50 MLB games last year, but unless injuries continue to ravage the Angels infield, expect Cowart to be nothing more than a backup infielder and to be well off the fantasy radar.--patton
