Kalen Ballage Is a Shaky Play In Week 2
5 years agoSeeing he had a 113 average draft position in NFBC, more than a few people thought Miami Dolphins running back Kalen Ballage would not only be a viable fantasy play in 2019, but that he might also be a threat to steal the starter's job from incumbent Kenyan Drake. But it was a committee approach for the Dolphins in Week 2, with both backs receiving six touches and failing to impress much on any of them, combining for just 11 yards rushing and 28 yards receiving. While it is hard to take away much from the game plan considering how quickly the Dolphins fell behind in a 59-10 blowout loss to the Ravens, it is clear that neither back can currently be trusted in your lineup in anything but the most desperate situations. Ballage should still be stashed in deep leagues until the situation becomes clearer, but your best chance for production in Week 2 against New England will likely hinge on how many garbage-time points can be had once the Dolphins are significantly behind on the scoreboard.
