Kalen Ballage Left All Alone in Miami
5 years agoWith all of his competition having been either traded or suspended, Miami Dolphins running back Kalen Ballage is officially the lead back headed into a Week 10 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Ballage was a popular sleeper headed into 2019, being drafted around three rounds higher than incumbent starter Kenyan Drake but was a complete disappoint before being eventually passed on the depth chart by Mark Walton. Even though he has just 70 yards rushing in 2019, Ballage is now the only option in Miami after Drake was traded to Arizona and Walton was suspended for four games. With his only competition coming from unknowns Patrick Laird and Myles Gaskin, expect Ballage to get a majority of the work going forward. Even with the guaranteed touches, Ballage is still running behind a bad offensive line and is facing a Colts Defense in Week 10 that’s giving up the ninth-fewest points to running backs in 2019. Unless in a desperate spot, Ballage should be left on fantasy benches until he proves he belongs elsewhere.
