Kareem Hunt A Low-End RB2 In Week 2
4 years agoCleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt outproduced starter Nick Chubb in Week 1's blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Hunt out-touched Chubb 17 to 11 and outgained him in total yards, 81 to 66. Week 1's game script favored Hunt as the Browns fell behind early and shifted into catch-up mode. Cleveland is installed as six-point home favorites for their Week 2 Thursday night matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. If the game goes as expected, this sets up as a more favorable situation for Chubb. That being said, Hunt should see most of the work in the passing game and can be projected for at least 10 carries on the ground in a Cleveland offense that wants to skew run heavy. That's good enough to treat Hunt as a low-end RB2 for Week 2, especially against a Bengals Defense that coughed up a 148 rushing yards and a score to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1.
