3 years agoArizona Coyotes goaltender Karel Vejmelka will guard the cage in Thursday's home game against Edmonton. It's a second career start for the 25-year-old Czech netminder, who started his journey in the NHL with a 2-1 shootout loss against Buffalo last week. He also featured in Monday's 7-4 loss against St. Louis after Carter Hutton had taken another beating. The 35-year-old carries a miserable 8.75 goals-against average with a .702 save percentage for the season, so Vejmelka could very well run away with the starter's job. Beating Connor McDavid's squad would be a huge step towards it.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
