Ke'Bryan Hayes Sitting In Game 1
2 years agoPittsburgh Pirates third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 of a doubleheader against the New York Mets on Wednesday. It will be a normal day of rest for the 25-year-old third baseman, but expect to see him return for the nightcap. In his return to the lineup on Tuesday, he went 1-for-3 with a run scored, a walk and a stolen base. With Hayes on the bench for Game 1, Rodolfo Castro will start at the hot corner and hit third against Mets right-hander Chris Bassitt. Castro is in a nice spot in the lineup to produce some counting stats for DFS managers. In just 153 at-bats this year, he's slashing .242/.305/.425 with six home runs, 12 RBI, 13 runs scored and four stolen bases.
